New! Species360 helps EAZA members streamline accreditation and renewals

Species360 helps EAZA members streamline the data reporting required for their accreditation process. A product of training and support, Species360 offers similar help for members of other accrediting associations here.

As any zoo registrar or aquatics professional will tell you, gathering the animal, enclosure, and other data required during an accreditation process can be time-consuming for even the most prepared.

Working with over 1,200 member institutions recording husbandry data worldwide, Species360 helps by offering documents — and people — to walk you through the process. In doing so, we hope to help you streamline the process and make it more easily repeated upon renewal.

Now Species360 has added an accreditation help resource — developed our member training team and recently approved by EAZA. Similar resources are already available for other regional and international associations as well.

How it works

Our member support and training teams help zoos and aquariums use ZIMS to record not only the data essential to animal care and welfare, but also, ultimately, the information required by regional and international associations for accreditation screenings and reporting.

We also work with leading associations to review what they require during the accreditation process, so that we can help prepare members and facilitate data collection and reporting. We create help documents, and, when needed, walk members through the process of pulling out the required data.

Accreditation and reporting help documents on various topics are now available for EAZA, BIAZA, AFdPZ, and the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA).
